High Streets UK’s Tourism Forum in Edinburgh

High Streets UK

Hedry supported High Streets UK (HSUK) in organising its Tourism Forum in Edinburgh, bringing together business leaders and policymakers from across the UK to discuss the future of the visitor economy.

The session focused on proposals for overnight visitor levies, with HSUK calling for businesses to have a voice in their design and rollout to avoid unintended consequences for the tourism sector. Members also explored opportunities to strengthen the UK’s competitiveness through a digital VAT-free shopping scheme and a wider visitor economy strategy.

Hedry continues to support HSUK as it works to shape national policy on the issues impacting the UK’s flagship high streets — from business rates and regulation to crime, safety and growth.
