Location: London (Hybrid working)
Type: Full-time

About Us

Hedry is a fast-growing public affairs consultancy built for today’s fast-moving and highly political world. We sit at the intersection of politics, policy, business and place – delivering integrated campaigns, political insight, strategic counsel, planning communications, and support for political campaigns.

We work with developers, landlords, retailers, infrastructure providers and organisations driving change across a range of sectors. We help them cut through the noise with sharp strategy, trusted advice and high-impact communications.

As a sister company to Lowick, we share a team and office, creating a uniquely dynamic, collaborative, and politically astute environment. Our approach is grounded in clarity, creativity, and a deep understanding of how politics works, both locally, regionally and nationally.

The Role

We are recruiting multiple roles at the Account Executive level (potentially Senior Account Executives) to support our growing portfolio across public affairs, built environment & planning communications, corporate communications, and integrated campaigns.

You will play a vital role in a close-knit team advising on major regeneration and planning projects, strategic stakeholder engagement, and policy campaigns that shape the places we live, work and shop. From Westminster to local authorities, retail to real estate – you’ll be part of a consultancy that thrives on high-stakes work and real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research & Monitoring: Stay on top of political, policy and planning developments across Parliament, City Hall and local councils. Provide clients with timely, intelligent updates and insights.
  • Content & Communication: Draft high-quality materials including political briefings, press releases, social media content, consultation collateral, and stakeholder correspondence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Map, manage, and support engagement with MPs, councillors, community groups and business leaders. Help organise briefings, events, and campaigns.
  • Client & Team Support: Assist in managing day-to-day activity on accounts. Attend client meetings, provide written updates, and contribute to strategy development.
  • Events & Campaigns: Help deliver impactful events, from planning exhibitions, parliamentary events, political roundtables and stakeholder dinners.
  • New Business Development: Research prospective clients, help develop proposals and pitch decks, and contribute ideas to grow our client base.
  • General Support: Pitch in where needed – from media monitoring to campaign brainstorms, we’re a team-first organisation where everyone contributes.

About You

We’re looking for people who are politically sharp, passionate about politics and public affairs – ready to make an impact.

  • A strong interest in UK politics, policy and current affairs
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Organised, dependable and calm under pressure
  • A team player who works collaboratively and proactively
  • Curious, resourceful and enthusiastic – willing to learn fast
  • Comfortable working across both policy and communications
  • A natural problem-solver who is solutions-first and focused on outcomes
  • Politically engaged, with any party affiliation or none – we value insight and openness

No specific experience or degree is required – we welcome people from all backgrounds and stages in their career. Whether you’ve worked in Parliament, supported a campaign, studied or enjoy politics, or are simply looking to break into public affairs – we’d love to hear from you.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary – commensurate with experience
  • Hybrid working model – typically 3 days in the office in central London
  • Exposure to high-profile projects shaping the built environment and public policy
  • Early responsibility and opportunities to grow quickly
  • Mentoring and training to support your professional development
  • A close-knit, supportive, and ambitious team culture shared with our colleagues at Lowick

Diversity & Inclusion

We are an equal opportunities employer and actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds and political perspectives. We believe a diverse team makes us better – as thinkers, strategists, and colleagues.

We are especially keen to hear from people across the political spectrum and those from groups underrepresented in the public affairs and communications industry. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or background.
